Bivouac has started on fire

We went to the Magic Millions and worked our way through the catalogue and we landed on this filly. She was prominent on our short list and we were rapt to secure her, especially at $26,000.

Bivouac has made a great start to his stud career, already siring a Group 2 winner with Intention claiming the Wakefield Challenge Stakes in New Zealand. Cavalry Girl was an impressive winner at Flemington and looks a likely Blue Diamond runner. His other winner Luana Miss also looks a promising type. His fillies are flying.

It's not just the sire that caught our attention. This filly is out of the a Written Tycoon mare that is a daughter of Group 1-placed filly Happy Hannah. Her only other foal is a two-year-old by Russian Camelot and he has already won a trial in October. The team have a good opinion of it and it’s sure to keep improving given the sire.

Hannah Luxe come from the famous Joie Denise family with Happy Hannah being a three-quarter-sister to Champion Mare More Joyous. This is a family that I had a lot to do with during my time at Gai’s with Tuesday Joy also amongst the page.

This filly has a great attitude every time I saw her parade and she has a lovely walk to her. She looks nice and sharp, she is a bit bum high at the moment but she will grow into herself quickly. I can’t wait to get her into the stable. She will be aimed at the early two-year-old races to give her every chance to get back to the Magic Millions Race Day next year.
